In the spring of 2002, Vicki Grennan contacted Pardee Homes to see if they would be interested in purchasing a fence sign. Dan Hale, Pardee project manager, said they would be interested and would like to help in some other way. They were willing to help us build the wall to enclose the fieild and help us get started on the consession bulding. In order to have a set of working plans drawn by an architect, we approached Mike Anderson of Tate Snyder Kimsey. They are the firm that has been working for the school district on current high schools, including Sierra Vist. He turned compleded plans to us in December. Since then we have been working with Pardee, Bill Young Masonry, and Campbell Concrete to begin work. Mike Kightlinger has arranged for us to use rental equipment, Bryon Kingham has dug the footing and removed the concrete for the building and prepared the trenches for the wall and the building. Century Steel donated the rebar needed for both the wall and the building. In January Cind-R-Lite donated the block for the concession building. The footers were compleded by Young Masonry and Taytlor Carson Harvey Construction, and Monty Malloy Masonry put the stem row of block up for the building so the floor can be run. Mark Damwood has the plumbing completed and Jim Riddle is completing the underground electrical so the floor can be completed. |
