| SIERRA VISTA BASEBALL: Justin has been an intrical part of the Lion Baseball Program since the first day. He has played 3rd base and shortstop as well as being the ace of the staff for 3 years. He has a career batting average of .306 with 57 RBI's. As a pitcher he has started 21 games completing 15 while registering a 22-9 record. In 2002 he waas a Sunset League Hononable Mention pitcher, in 2003 he was a 2nd team Sunset League pitcher, and woo4 he was 1st Team Sunset League and Southern Nevada pitcher. 2002: Justin appeared in 15 games as a freshman pitcher, starting 11 and completing 6 games. He won 8 and lost 3. His 67 1/3 innings led the staff. He defeated Durango twice while they were ranked in the top 20 teams in the country. At the beginning of the Southwest League season and on May 9th he pitched a compled game, winning 12-2 and eliminating the Trailblazers from the playoffs. 2003: Justin moved to the bull pen as the closer and appeared in 23 games getting 4 wins, 3 losses and 8 saves. He had 43 strike outs in 39 2/3 inning and a 3.00 ERA. 2004: Justin batted a solid .340 with only 6 strike outs in 106 at bats. He had 10 extra base hits and 25 RBI's while playing shortstop and pitching. On the mound he dominated the opposition, winning his 1st 8 games and going 10-1 on the year. He had 60 strike outs in 74 innings with 14 walks allowing only one runner on base per inning pitched. On April 16th Garcia threw a complete game against Durango in the league opener, giving up one run and going 3 for 4 at the plate with 3 RBI's. On April 22 he pitched a 1 hit shut out against Bishop Gorman, winning 4-0, the 1st ever win for the Lions over the Gaels. On May 4th he completed the sweep of Gorman in league play again pitching a complete game, giving up 5 hits and winning 11-2. His mastery of Gorman continued into the playoffs where he registered another complete game victory 7-3. SIERRA VISTA HIGH SCHOOL: Justin is planning on getting a business degree while playing baseball in college. He turned down an early siging offer from the Division 1 University of Kentucky and will attend Western Nevada Community College in Carson City. PERSONAL: Justin enjoys fishing and weight lifting.
